Falling leaves. The scent of cinnamon. Bales of hay. A slight chill in the air. And pumpkins. LOTS of pumpkins. 600, to be exact.

These are all associated with the season of fall. During which Victory Electric hosts the Pumpkin Painting and Carving Festival where families and all community members are invited to pumpkin painting and carving.

The event is sponsored by Victory Electric and Ladies Community Outreach. From the very first event in 2007, the goal of the festival is to provide a safe environment for kids to enjoy the seasonal Halloween activities and provide a fun, creative outlet for attendees. Fall themed games are also available for youth to enjoy. Families from surrounding towns are welcomed to attend the event and children are welcome to wear costumes to the festival.

The 2019 festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Victory Electric, 3230 N 14th Ave. There will be 600 pumpkins available on a first come, first-served basis. There is no fee for children and the event is open to children 13 and younger. All children should be accompanied by an adult for safety purposes.
