Please know, if a Victory Electric employee contacts you by phone, it is the policy of Victory Electric to NEVER request confidential, personal financial information – like a credit card number or checking/savings routing and account numbers.

Parade of Lights and Chill Cook-off Draws Crowd

The 15th Annual Christmas Parade of Lights and Chili Cook-off was held last night in Dodge CIty. 
    Sponsored by the Dodge City Daily Globe, Boot Hill, Victory Electric, the City of Dodge CIty, Main Street, True Value and Q97, the events attracted hundreds of visitors to Dodge City. 

Victory Electric Announces 2017 Youth Tour Winners

Victory Electric is sponsoring four local high school juniors to participate in our 2017 Youth Tour programs this summer. 

Alec Coast, Cimmaron, and Roxana Arjon, Dodge City, will attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., in June. 

During Youth Tour, the students will join 1,700 youth from across the nation in Washington, D.C. Participants will visit monuments and other attractions, as well as visit Capitol Hill to learn more about how our government works. 

Victory Youth Enjoy Annual Pumpkin Festival

The 10th Annual Pumpkin Painting and Carving Festival was held on Oct. 29 at Victory Electric.

Victory Gives Back to Local Schools

Victory Electric donated pumpkins to Northwest Elementary. Each student picked their own pumpkin to take home. This is one way Victory 

Electric likes to continue to give back to the communities we serve. Victory Electric serves as a community partner and donates pumpkins each year so students have the opportunity to have pumpkins for Halloween. 

 

 

Victory Electric and CoBank Award “Sharing Success” Grant to Depot Theater

The Victory Electric Cooperative, Assn., Inc., is pleased to announce the Depot Theater Company in Dodge City as the recipient of this year’s Victory/CoBank “Sharing Success” Grant. Depot Theater Check Presentation

The Depot Theater has been awarded two checks totaling $10,000 – $5,000 from Victory Electric and $5,000 from CoBank – to help purchase a new lighting control system for the theater.

Aug. 18 Declared Kansas Electric Cooperatives Day

In the late 1930's, cooperatives were being organized across the Sunflower State to bring electricity to farms, homes and businesses and dramatically improve the quality of life in rural Kansas.  There were many organizational and operational challenges common across the fledgling industry so in order to efficiently and effectively meet those needs, seven electric cooperative leaders chartered a membership association called Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (KEC) on August 18, 1941.

Goddard Selected as New Manager of Safety

Mikey GoddardVictory Electric is pleased to announce the selection of Mikey Goddard as the new Manager of Safety, effective July 27, 2016.

“I’m excited to start building a new safety culture for Victory Electric,” Goddard said. “I’ve worked as a lineman for 17 years, it’s a big change, but a good one.”

Victory Electric to Host Candidate Meet and Greet

Kansas electric cooperative members have the opportunity to meet this year’s Kansas legislative candidates as part of the national “Co-ops Vote” campaign at Victory Electric’s headquarters on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m.
